12-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped By Relatives In Rawalpindi

A 12-year-old orphaned girl was gang raped by her relatives in Gulistan Colony area of Rawalpindi after being kidnapped from a street on Friday.

According to The News, the police stated that the victim’s grandfather lodged a complaint after which the First Investigation Report (FIR) was registered. The complaint said that the girl was living with her grandparents, and was kidnapped from her street on Friday evening when she left the house to go to a nearby shop. He further said that she was not in her senses when came back home. The FIR says that the girl told her grandfather that three men, who are said to be her relatives, took her to a deserted place where they raped her.

The police said that the victim was taken for medical examination, where the medico-legal officer confirmed that she was gang-raped. They added that raid were being done to arrest the culprits.
