Weeks after the F-9 Park gang rape incident, another woman was gang-raped at a gunpoint in Islamabad.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered over the incident at Shalimar police station against two persons on the victim’s complaint.
According to the FIR, two men, identified as Amjad Khan and Amir Zaman, raped the woman at a gunpoint in F-11.
The two men had known the victim and had called her to F-11 Markaz under the pretext of finding a job for her.
The incident comes weeks after a woman was gang raped at a gunpoint in F-9 park and was told by one of the rapists “to not come to the park at this time”.
Later, the Islamabad police said the two suspects in the F-9 Park rape incident were killed in an encounter. However, the victim’s lawyer claimed that the police killed the suspects in a fake encounter after positive identification by the survivor.
