Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar Receives Extremist Backlash For Getting A Bridge Painted

Published on

In yet another episode of intolerance, Assistant Commissioner of North Nazimabad, Karachi, Hazim Bangwar, has received a backlash from a section of social media for “promoting LGBTQ+ agenda” after he got a bridge within his locality painted mainly in primary colours.

A social media user in a Twitter thread criticised Bangwar for apparently promoting the LGBTQ agenda through these colours.

However, some social media users confronted him, saying that these were common colours.

Hazim Bangwar also responded to the backlash and said that he copied and recreated as per the opinions shared by the public with him.

He added: “Recently another subdivision did this under their bridge and nothing was said. Help me understand this hypocrisy.”

People also appreciated the Assistant Commissioner for his efforts to improve the city.
