‘Corps Commander Lahore Whose House Was Attacked By PTI Protesters Is An Imran Khan Supporter’

Corps Commander Lahore Lt General Salman Fayyaz Ghanni, whose house was attacked by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) mob protesting the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan, is said to be a supporter of Khan.

Senior journalists Umer Cheema and Azaz Syed made these claims during their vlogs.


According to media reports, Lt General Salman Ghanni has been replaced as Corps Commander Lahore by Lt General Fayyaz Hussain following the incident.

The journalists also claimed there is a rift within the army and there is a section that does not support the current Chief of Army Staff.

Following the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan, the party supporters stormed Corps Commander Lahore’s residence and ransacked it.

A video purportedly from Corps Commander‘s house in Lahore emerged that showed Corps Commander IV Corps Lahore, Lt Gen Salman Fayyaz Ghani, along with his family, trying to talk to the angry PTI protesters, who stormed his house.
