‘Other Side Of Balochistan’: Books Worth Rs 3.5 Million Sold During Turbat Literature Festival

Books worth Rs 3.5 million were sold during a three-day literature festival organised by Balochistan Academy Turbat.

Writers, poets, and intellectuals from across the country participated in the festival.


A social media user said: Books worth 3.5 million get sold in a 3 days festival in Turbat, Balochistan.
This is the side of Balochistan I want you to know about.”


To this, Baloch journalist Ali Jan Maqsood said: “We are striving very hard for education, but our Baloch students are going traumatic following the recent wave of enforced disappearances of Baloch students. Till this week, plenty students are reported missing from Turbat including a 3 day road-blocking-protest in Hoshap, Turbat.”
