Published on

Participants of an event organised by the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (Jssf) at Sindh University were beaten up by officials from law enforcement agencies, who also detained 30 students, including the organisers.

The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against 6 students, while the whereabouts of the remaining students remain unknown.

The videos of the event are making rounds on social media, wherein police could also be seen baton-charging the participants of the events.

The Sindh University students have claimed that the security officials also arrested Jssf members from the hostel, who were not part of the event.

The Jssf members held a protest outside Karachi Press Club against the violence used by state authorities against the participants of a peaceful event.
