According to details, the Sindhi department at Karachi University organised the Holi celebrations.

In a video doing rounds on social media, a woman student said that students from IJT came and harassed them and beat up the male students.

“While we were celebrating Holi,” they alleged, “a number of boys from the Jamiat came and stopped us. They beat us and other students.”

However, the university administration denied the reports of violence against Hindu students.

Earlier, at least 15 students were injured as the IJT activists attacked Hindu students at Punjab University for holding an event to celebrate Holi.

The students had taken permission from the university administration prior to holding the event.

However, the IJT activists carrying guns and batons attacked the gathering of students when they were celebrating Holi.
