A woman named Nazia Khoso and her daughter Kausar Khoso were allegedly abducted from Khair Shah Road near Kandhkot, Kashmore, Sindh.

Human rights activists and civil society in Sindh have held a number of protests across the province, demanding the safe recovery of the woman and her daughter.

Last month, police booked a number of protestors holding a demonstration event in Kashmore for the release of Khoso and her daughter, drawing condemnation from the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP).

The HRCP condemned the registration of the FIR, saying that the commission’s member was also booked by the police under terrorism charges.

The HRCP also urged the authorities to recover the woman “immediately”.

The human rights watch had also expressed alarm over the armed kidnapping of Khoso and her daughter.
