18-Year-Old Balochistan Girl Allegedly Connected to Minister’s ‘Private Jail’ Was Raped, Shot In Head Thrice

Published on

The postmortem examination of the 18-year-old girl whose body was recovered from a well along with two male bodies in Barkhan, Balochistan, found that she was tortured, raped, and shot in the head thrice. Since the 18-year-old girl’s body was rendered unregonisable as the acid was thrown on her face and neck to disfigure her, she was previously erroneously identified as a 40-year-old Granaz by her husband Khan Muhammad Marri who had accused Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran of detaining his family in his private jail and later murdering them.

Meanwhile, the family of Khan Muhammad Marri reunited on Friday, a day after Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran was remanded into police custody for 10 days in connection with the three bodies recovered from a well in Barkhan, Balochistan.

Khan Muhammad Marri has accused the minister of the three murders in Barkhan, saying that though the woman’s body recovered from the well was not of his wife but two male bodies were of his sons.

He said that he was a servant of Khetran, and had escaped one of the minister’s ” three private jails” where he had kept other women, the elderly, and children.

“The bodies found from Barkhan well are of my sons,” he said.

On Thursday, the police recovered the three remaining sons of Khan Muhammad Marri in an overnight search operation a day after the recovery of his wife and two children.

After the recovery of Khan Muhammad Marri’s wife and children, police and other investigating agencies are still trying to identify the 18-year-old girl whose body was recovered from the well along with two male bodies.

According to the postmortem examination, the girl was tortured, raped, and shot in the head thrice. The report also suggested that acid was thrown on the face and neck of the girl to hide her identity.
