LAHORE: A disturbing video showing a passionate supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outside party Chairman Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman Park, vowing to ‘sacrifice’ his own child for Khan, has gone viral on social media.

The man was part of a group of PTI supporters gathered at Zaman Park to foil Imran Khan’s possible arrest. “I am here with my children… These children will willingly get arrested before Imran Khan does. I brought both my children here with me, for Imran Khan.. I will sacrifice their lives over Imran Khan. If they arrest him, they will take Imran Khan over the dead bodies of my children,” he says as his child smiles blissfully during his father’s emotional pronouncement.
His statement has been censured on Twitter, with people expressing concerns for the safety of the child.
A Twitter user noted the disturbing and fanatical nature of this claim, particularly the “extreme cult mindset” behind it: “They have made Imran Khan bigger than religion.”
